NARRATOR: "Full-Time Kid with Mya."
[laughing] Hi.
I'm Mya.
Today, we're making a wind chime out of simple household items.
There are a number of ways to make wind chimes.
But today, we're using items that are easy to find around the house.
Here we have plastic lids, a few sticks, some bells, some shells, some bottle caps, clothes pins, a push pin, a hot glue gun, some string, and a pair of scissors.
Once you have all your materials picked out, tie a piece of string onto each item, around six inches in length.
If you have small items, you may want to tie a few of them on one piece of string.
If you have large items, you may want to secure the knot with some glue.
Next, we poke some holes on the edge of the plastic lid and we put the two holes in the middle.
That's where we will tie the string to hang the wind chime.
Once we have all our holes, we need to tie each item to the lid.
Depending on the size of the hole, you can either thread the string through the hole and tie a knot on the top, or, you can thread the string and just tie a knot around the outside of the lid.
Lastly, we loop a string through the two holes you made in the middle and tie it off.
Wow.
Now to look for a good spot.
We don't want it too in the open, but we do want it in an area that gets a good amount of wind.
OK, that's our show.
Thanks for watching.
Bye-bye.
Lastly, we loop the string to the through-- to the through?
Through the two.
Ta-da!
[bleep] you wind chime.
It's a-- [inhaling] [blowing] [laughing]
