-(crowd cheering) (upbeat music) Hey, what's up?
I'm D-Wayne and I'm a vocal entrepreneur.
[Announcer] D-Wayne's a busy guy.
He does a wide range of things for the business he's built for more than a decade.
MC-ing lots of events, including Husker sports, new student orientation and the historic Volleyball Day in Nebraska.
He does voiceover and on-camera work for TV shows and commercials, and is public speaking coach.
I want companies or individuals to look at me and go, "Oh, I bet my message to my audience could go through easier if I had him."
[Announcer] D-Wayne started in high school, beatboxing and hosting things like pep rallies.
In college, UNL's Engler Entrepreneurship Program helped him hone his plan and turn his passion into a thriving business.
(upbeat music) Hi, my name is Emma.
What are some ways you are still learning?
I like to continue learning by using YouTube.
That's a huge resource, but when I'm on YouTube, I have to make sure that the person talking to me is actually verifiable, which means that they are professional in their industry, the adults around me know who they are and they can tell me that, "Yes, that's a good person to listen to."
That's a great way for me to continue learning.
Hi, my name's Rodrigo and what advice do you have for kids who want to create things?
If you'd like to create things, start.
Ask your parents, your uncles, your aunts, your friends' parents, ask anyone for any assistance that you need.
Something that I didn't understand when I was younger is that when you're a kid, you have access to everyone.
They wanna see you succeed.
I wanna see you succeed.
So go on out there, talk to your adults, any adults, and get them to help you out.
(upbeat music)
